Cougars win the final meeting with Sharks

Well, at least we don’t have a losing record against them.

The California Cougars beat the Sharks 18-8 in the final meeting of the season to even up the series at 2-2. We had 19 shots on target with only 8 points to show for.

Rollins v. UCF this Friday, March 28th

March 26, 2008 at 11:01 am | Posted in Rollins College Soccer, UCF Soccer | Leave a comment

UCF and Rollins renew their rivalry when they play a “friendly” on Friday, March 28th 7:00PM at Barker Family Stadium in Winter Park. Admission is free. The last time these two met in March of last year, the Knights beat the Tars at UCF Soccer Complex. I expect a tight match and I am going to say this time Rollins will avenge their loss and win 2-1. We’ll see what happens.

Sharks lose to Milwaukee

March 24, 2008 at 9:59 am | Posted in Orlando Sharks | Leave a comment

The Orlando Sharks lost again last night to the Milwaukee Wave 25-10. After an excellent start and a lead of 6-0, Milwaukee took control of the game in one stretch scoring 21 points in 21 games. Only two games left for the Sharks. It’s been a disappointing season but honestly, it’s great to have MISL soccer in Orlando.

Play soccer in Central Florida

March 18, 2008 at 8:18 pm | Posted in Soccer in Central Florida | Leave a comment

Want to get in the game? I just ended my winter season playing recreational soccer and the spring season is just a couple of weeks away. I play in the rec league organized by Orlando Sport & Social Club. There’s adult competitive and recreational levels three times a week and at three different locations. The format is 8v8 co-ed. If you have a team, it’s about $500 to play for up to 15 players. If you just want to join a side, it’s $70. If you’re looking to feed your competitive side or just have fun and keep in shape, look us up.
